Cleankill Pest Control’s Operations Director Jon Whitehead was at Brands Hatch on Saturday 30th September 2023 to congratulate the ABS Racing Team on becoming the BMCRC-MRO motorcycle sidecar racing champions.
Cleankill has a long association with motorcycle sidecar racing having sponsored Shaun Parker from the ABS Racing team for several years. Their current sponsorship deal involves support with the day-to-day running costs of the team and the purchasing of race tyres for the 2023 season.

ABS Racing is a relatively new team. In addition to Shaun, it includes driver Billy Pearson and support mechanic Aden Pearson. They have an ambitious three-year plan that will see them progress from the F2 category BEMSEE (British Motorcycle Racing Club) sidecar championship in 2023 to the Isle of Man TT in 2025.
Unfortunately, Shaun was unable to ride at Brands Hatch after he sustained a broken leg in an accident earlier in the year. That did not hold the team back though because, although they were a little ‘off the pace’ due to the need to use a different passenger, they had previously amassed enough points, 496, across the season to make them champions.
Jon said: “There is something visceral about standing in the pit lane watching the team you sponsor race around Brands Hatch. When Shaun originally approached me about potentially sponsoring the new team it was with a vision that would see them start in the BEMSEE championship and end at the TT. It’s amazing to see how they have taken that vision and really run with it. To win the championship by such an amazing margin, is really impressive.
